Moon Sweepers has 33 Steam achievements, and the list is more varied than it first appears. Some unlock during ordinary play. Others need a specific action — driving while cleaning, starting a co-op game, or routing dust around a closed conveyor loop. The longest goals reach 10,000 depot deposits, a million dollars earned and spent, and 100% of the Moon cleaned.
Quick answer
Finish the five opening achievements first — they cost nothing extra and teach you the difference between collecting, depositing and launching. Then do the hidden conveyor loop while your factory is still small. Everything else accumulates through normal play.

Five opening achievements
All five can be done in the first twenty minutes without buying anything beyond a brush.
| Achievement | Requirement |
|---|---|
| One Small Sweep | Clean your first patch of lunar dust. Leave the station with the free toothbrush and brush anything. |
| Dust Delivery | Deposit at the depot intake for the first time. Filling a capsule outside does not count. |
| Get A Better Brush | Buy an actual brush upgrade. Switching tools is not an upgrade. |
| Return to Sender | Launch a full dust container. The deposit and the launch are separate actions. |
| Moon Improvement Project | Place a structure. Buying the Building Tool alone is not enough. |

Why Return to Sender trips people up
The wording is specific: launch a full dust container into space. Depositing dust is not launching, and packing a capsule is not launching either. Fill the depot's container and then use the launch control, and wait for it to actually complete.
The hidden conveyor loop
It'll Get There Eventually is the only hidden achievement. The requirement is to send dust around a closed conveyor loop.
A curved belt is not a loop. A belt that turns back toward the depot is not a loop. What you need is a continuous circuit where a capsule can keep travelling around the same path without exiting.
- Find open ground with room to turn a belt back on itself.
- Build a small circuit — a rounded rectangle is easiest.
- Check that the final section actually connects to the first, not just sits beside it.
- Introduce one capsule into the loop.
- Watch it circulate. If it stops at an open end, the loop is not closed.
Watch outDo this while your factory is small
The three long grinds
Three achievement families account for almost all the time in a 100% run. They measure different things, so progress in one does not help the others.
| Achievement | Requirement | Reality |
|---|---|---|
| Do You Live Here? | 10,000 depot deposits | Deposit events, not kilograms. A huge load is still one deposit. |
| The Moon Is a Gold Mine | Earn $1,000,000 total | Lifetime earnings, not current balance. |
| Small loan of $1 million | Spend $1,000,000 total | Must be spent. Holding cash does not count. |
| Time To Go Sleep... | Clean 100% of the Moon | Roughly 163,830 sectors. |
| Hex Appeal | Clean 10,000 sections | About 6% of the Moon, as a rough sanity check. |
Do automated deposits count?
The achievements are worded around deposit events, while your factory moves material as a continuous flow. Whether a conveyor-fed intake counts as one deposit or many is not documented. Test it before committing: note your progress, then run a batch through automation, then run a batch manually, and compare.
Earnings versus spending
Earning a million and spending a million are separate tracks, and both require action. Money earned advances the earnings counter even after you spend it. Money sitting in the bank does not advance the spending counter at all.
NoteSpend on purpose, not on clutter
Recommended order
- Session one: the five opening achievements, plus Dust Bunny at 10 kg.
- First build: Move dust on a belt (Let the Belt Do It), then attempt the closed loop while the factory is small.
- First vehicle: Finally, Wheels — clean while driving, not just driving.
- First co-op session: OH You Have Friends? — a second player has to actually join.
- Ongoing: dust totals, deposit counts, region and section counts, and money milestones accumulate together.
- Long term: the four Moon percentage achievements, which only automation makes realistic.
For the map mechanics behind the percentage achievements, read the map and completion guide. For the machines that make 10% achievable, read automation.
